Ave Maria!
The Church is the vine God has planted into the world, & we as believers will be pleasing to God to the extent that we remain attached & faithful to the Church. Satan has a vine as well; his vine is the mass media, which eagerly spreads the message of godlessness, pleasure-seeking,& contempt for Christ throughout the whole world. We as Catholics need to wake up to this reality: either one thinks with the mind of Christ, or one inevitably & invariably will think with the mind of Satan. Please hear Fr. Elias’ powerful message of truth in today’s homily.

Ave Maria!
Today’s Gospel offers a wonderful meditation on the role of the Catholic Church in the world. The Church casts its net to catch souls, yet without Christ’s grace & guidance it can do nothing. Christ is the only hope of the world, & the Church is His only vehicle for salvation. Fr. Elias further reflects on St. Augustine’s two-fold commentary of Christ at one time fishing in the boat with the disciples & here standing on the shore guiding, as it were, their mission for food & for souls.

This week Fr. Elias clears the air about Hiasl the chimpanzee and the Austrian court’s desire to take up the case to declare him a person. Watch this video as Fr. Elias explains how this error is routed in Satan’s dislike for humanity and is quite similar to the Nazi’s who confused humans with animals.

Ave Maria!
During the octave (8 days) of Easter, the daily gospel readings speak of Our Lord’s appearances after the Resurrection & the readings give us accounts of the works of the Apostles. The message is clear: the works of the Lord continued, and still continue, even after His earthly ministry was completed. Our greatest gift to the world is Christ’s promise of salvation and peace to men of good will, and the Apostles, mere fishermen, backed up this message with miracles done in His name. [Click here for today's readings.] Happy Easter!

Pope Pius XII, in his consecration of the whole world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, referenced the Jewish people as at one time being the chosen people of God. Christ Himself said that He did not come to destroy the Law and the prophets, He came to fulfill them. So are the Jews still the chosen people of God? Can one still keep the Law and reject Christ at the same time? Listen as Fr. Elias reflects on today’s readings and on this vital question.

Ave Maria!
Today’s Readings remind us of the hardness of heart that both the prophet Jeremiah and the Son of God faced in their earthly ministries. As is the case in our world today, the enemies of Christ and His prophet cloaked their hatred in intellectual arguments when the real issue was not intellectual but moral, i.e. their love of sin. Even miracles will be dismissed and ignored by those who hate God. Listen as Fr. Elias reflects on today’s readings and how it is possible for God to deliver His children from their enemies while at the same time allowing them to suffer death at their hands.

Who are the true children of God? One could approach this question by first asking, “Who are the true children of Abraham??? God made an everlasting contract with Abraham to make his descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky. So in the eyes of God, is it more important to be a blood-descendant of Abraham or to be a descendant of Abraham by faith? Today’s Readings marvelously explore this question. Listen now as Fr. Elias provides a brief yet pointed explanation of this crucial topic.

Ave Maria!
In this first episode of Clearing the Air, Fr. Elias proclaims the Good News that the air is being cleared of Satan’s smog by the Fresh Air of Christ and his Mother, Mary. This good news was first proclaimed in the Garden of Eden and then at Nazareth when the Archangel announced to Mary that she is to be the Mother of God. Listen to Father’s talk as he stresses the importance of uniting Mary with Christ in the announcing of the Good News as we celebrate the announcement of the good news of the start of Air Maria on the Feast of the Annunciation.

Ave Maria!
“If you remain in My word, you will truly be my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Today’s readings reveal to us two key truths of the Faith: life with Christ brings freedom from the misery of sin, and following Christ means that you will suffer insults, derision, and even the threat of death. The more we are persecuted, the more our good God comforts and strengthens us, so don’t be afraid! Catholicism gives life to the soul and light and life to the world; secularism fills the soul with misery and covers the earth with darkness. Listen today to Fr. Elias’ exhortation to Catholics who must courageously battle this present-day culture of death.

Many of the Church Fathers believe that today’s feast of the Annunciation is also the actual day on which Our Lord was crucified, making His stay here on earth – from the womb of Our Mother to the cross – exactly 33 years. Listen now to Fr. Elias preach on today’s readings and the wonderful sign foretold by Isaiah and made manifest everyday in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

Today’s Gospel speaks of the woman caught in adultery and placed at the feet of Jesus. The Law of Moses commanded such a person to be stoned to death, so what would Jesus’ response be? In this thoughtful reflection, Fr. Elias reminds us that this adulterous woman is a symbol of all of us who have turned toward sin rather than turning toward the good God.

Homily #26 – Fr. Elias Mary gives a beautiful homily on the Message of Fatima, which is the Message of the Gospel.>>> Play |

Ave Maria!
Our Holy Father of fond memory, Pope John Paul II, said that the message of Fatima is the message of the Gospel.
This First Saturday of March, being in Lent, is a good opportunity to reflect on the call of Our Lady of Fatima do to penance for the conversion of sinners. Our Lady said that so many people are going to Hell because no one is praying for them.
In today’s Gospel Our Blessed Lord says: “But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your heavenly Father…”
Let us take the Gospel message, and the message of Fatima seriously, especially in this time of Lent, and not find ourselves numbered among those who do not pray for and offer penances for the conversion of sinners.
