Viability is often used to determine when an abortion is ‘allowable’ and ‘justifiable’ that because a baby in the early stages of pregnancy is viable only in the womb that somehow it is okay to take it out of the womb. Even ignoring the absurdity of this argumentation, one has to ask, who is really viable? Friar Roderic discusses with Corinn Dahm how in the bigger picture even those who think they are most viable are really only viable in a very few places on earth and even fewer places when looking at the whole solar system or … beyond. At one point the example of the Titanic is used which was considered the ‘unsinkable ship’ and those on board were boasting of their greatness (i.e their viability.) Yet, only a moment later they found themselves in small lifeboats or in the drink where they were not so viable.

He discusses with hostess Corinn Dahm how it violates the First Amendment rights of Catholics, how the Obama ‘compromise’ is no compromise at all and is effectively not even a change from the original, offensive mandate. They cover the many political forces pushing for contraception (pharmaceuticals, abortion providers, hedonists, population control advocates) the effects of contraception on health and families and on women. They ask why is contraception being offered for free when life saving medication and procedures are not free, but require a co-pay? Why artificial birth-control is offered completely free and natural family planning is not funded at all.

Tony DiMarco of the Helpers of God’s Precious Infants discusses with Corinn Dahm the many pro-life efforts they engage in including praying, protesting, sidewalk counseling, volunteering for local pregnancy crisis centers, The Forty-Days-for-Life and their local Pro-life March in Hartford, CT where he hopes to have about 1500 participants who will attend Mass on Saturday, January 21 at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Hartford and then march together to the state capitol building with many prayers and pro-life talks. This march is for those who can’t afford the time, money or time off work to got to the big March for Life in DC which is always on a weekday.

Darlene Wagner and hostess Corinn Dahm discuss the news of Pro-life in Connecticut, the need for parental notification, and then discuss the status of chemical abortion due to RU486 and the morning-after pill, how it is growing and there are no hard numbers available to gauge how many abortions are occurring. The morning after pill in particular is becoming the contraceptive of choice and are using the pill too frequently for something that is basically a super-dose of birth control pill, which is already unhealthy. They discuss the need for educating young women on the effects of these drugs. Also there is a new super, drug-resistant form of Gonorrhea discovered in Japan and the contraceptives promote the unhygienic behavior which spreads these diseases.
