Dr. Paul Byrne referring to his book Life, Life Support, and Death talks about another aspect of Pro-life, the end of life. Dr. Byrne as a neonatologists, and father of 12 children and grandfather of 27 knows the medical and practical aspects of the beginning of life. From his experience of saving babies that were actually declared brain dead he started to study the issue and discovered there is no such thing as brain death. This term was invented to enable transplantation of major organs, that is, to create a supply of organs. But here is the catch, 'brain dead' patients are not dead until the removal of their major organs kill them. He also points out that many patients who are declared brain dead can be saved and live a normal life.
