Ave Maria!
On the Solemnity of the Holy Mother of God we present this last audio from our archives on the subject of the Perpetual Virginity of Mary. Fr. Angelo covers the apostolic origins of the doctrine, what it means, the fact that this doctrine is a dogma and its importance as a means for counteracting christological errors. This was recorded last year at this time.

Ave Maria!
On the feast of the Holy Family we present this talk by Fr. Angelo Geiger on the Perpetual Virginity of Mary and how it can help people to live the married life with the dignity that it deserves. Fr. Angelo addresses certain exaggerated forms of theology of the body that has become very popular which fails to take into account our current fallen state and thus deviates from the true sense intended by Pope John Paul II. This talk was recorded at this time last year.

| In light of all the interest in The Nativity and its poor treatment of the Virgin Birth we thought we would make a post highlighting an online recording made on this subject by Fr. Peter three years ago. This is part one of a two part series, each part is 30 minutes. Part two will be posted later. Here is a short description:
Although believed as a dogma of faith, the doctrine of Mary’s Perpetual Virginity is put into question even by theologians who claim to be Catholics. The denial of Mary’s virginity “in partu” or virginity in the birth of Christ affects our belief in the uniqueness of Christ’s birth as miraculous and therefore divine. This talk is based on a written work by Fr. Fehlner: “The Great Sign: Virginitas in Partu.” |
