In light of all the interest in The Nativity and its poor treatment of the Virgin Birth we thought we would make a post highlighting an online recording made on this subject by Fr. Peter three years ago. This is part one of a two part series, each part is 30 minutes. Part two will be posted later. Here is a short description:

Although believed as a dogma of faith, the doctrine of Mary’s Perpetual Virginity is put into question even by theologians who claim to be Catholics. The denial of Mary’s virginity “in partu” or virginity in the birth of Christ affects our belief in the uniqueness of Christ’s birth as miraculous and therefore divine. This talk is based on a written work by Fr. Fehlner: “The Great Sign: Virginitas in Partu.”
