Ave Maria!
“Holy Father St. Francis writes in the Rule: ‘may the friars not extinguish the spirit of prayer‘. The spirit which consists in always elevating one’s thought to God, one’s thought, that is, one’s intention in doing things, to work, to rest, and also to pray in public only because this is the will of the Immaculate, to please Her and, through Her, the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.” (SK #878)

From Ave Maria Meditations
by JosephMary
I WILL SPEND MY HEAVEN DOING GOOD ON EARTH!

?LOVE IS REPAID BY LOVE ALONE…
???????????? …AND NOURISHED BY SACRIFICE.
+
My Heaven on Earth
To bear my exile now, within this world of tears,
The holy tender glance of Christ, my Lord, I need.
That glance, surcharged with love, consoles me through the years;
His loveliness displays foretaste of heaven indeed.
On me my Jesus smiles, when toward Him I aspire.
The trial of my faith then weighs no more on me.
That love-glance of my God, that smile of holy fire,
Oh, this is heaven for me! (more…)

Ave Maria!
“Click in” as Fr. Maximilian Mary recapitulates all that he has said thus far about the absolute primacy of Jesus Christ and prepares to launch into the subject of the mediation of grace and glory through the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Having established the absolute primacy of Jesus Christ, the Cornerstone will show where Our Lady fits into God’s plan and what that means for our spiritual life.

The Cross is now mounted alongside St. Peters 50 feet from were Our Lady of America was placed on 9/11. Eventually the Cross will be part of the memorial at Ground Zero when it is completed. While we were doing the interview the names of those who died where being read on the load speaker at the memorial service at Ground Zero and can be heard in the background. Listen to this inspiring account of hope and light that the Cross can bring in the midst of great darkness and despair.

Ave Maria!
“The Immaculate promised to grant many graces to those who wear Her medal; it is precisely for this reason that the members of the Militia use this medal as a weapon in the battle to conquer souls for the Immaculate, being sure that the more sincerely and profoundly the reign of the Immaculate takes possession of the world, the more the world will be transformed into paradise on earth.” (SK #1046)

Ave Maria!
“Every day the militants of the Immaculate must repeat, with ardent fervor, the words that the Immaculate Herself showed impressed upon the Miraculous Medal: ‘O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee‘; furthermore, remembering those for whom they desire salvation, they add: ‘and for all who do not have recourse to thee, in particular the Masons‘; finally, they also include those persons whose conversion is particularly at heart, and they name them individually or with a generic formula, for example: ‘and for those recommended to thee‘.” (SK #1046)

Ave Maria!
Today we celebrate the great feast of Saint Michael the Archangel, Saint Gabriel the Archangel, and Saint Raphael the Archangel.
Now one of the things that was important to the early Church fathers is the teaching on the holy angels and at one point each angel had their own designated day for a feast day but then they decided to move both Saint Gabriel and Saint Raphael to September 29th which was originally Saint Michaels feast day.

Fr Euteneuer’s excellent story of St Michael the Archangel and how he gets his name.
Full Story [http://www.hli.org/sl_2007-09-28.html]
Who Is Like Unto God?
Tomorrow we celebrate the Feast of the holy Archangels, Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. Each year, this feast gives us a golden opportunity to renew our friendship with the angels who are given for our spiritual benefit and are eager to assist us in our battle against the principalities and powers of the world of darkness. We need only to ask their assistance and their guidance on our way to heaven.
Let us take a moment to reflect on the glorious prince of the heavenly host, St. Michael the Archangel, the most potent of all God’s helpers. We start with his name: “Michael” is of Hebrew origin and, literally translated, means, “Who Is Like Unto God?” It is actually a composite of three little Hebrew words that form one phrase: “Mi” (pronounced “mee” and meaning “who?”); “cha” (pronounced “ka” and meaning “like”), and “el” (the Hebrew name for “God.”) The phrase, “Who is like unto God?” is not a statement about this angel being so close or similar to God – no one can claim that. Rather, it is a rhetorical question. It is what Michael uttered in his disbelief that someone would claim to be like God. That someone was another angel named Lucifer.
Tradition has it that Lucifer, the sublime Seraphim, ranked highest in the order of angels and proudly asserted that he wanted to “be like the Most High” (see Isaiah 14:14 for this). One faithful angel of a lower rank, unable to countenance the impudence of a creature thinking he were equal to God, courageously stood up in the divine assembly to defend the rights of God with a rebuke that issued from the depths of his being as a question something like: “And just who could possibly claim to be like God?” And so “Mi-cha-el” became his name.
Michael then cast Lucifer out of heaven with all his rebellious companions. No creature that rejects the sovereignty of God could ever remain in heaven. Michael is thus the defender of the rights of God and the one who manhandles the strongest of the demons. We have him to thank for showing us that proud Satan can actually be defeated and that the rights of God can be vindicated against all blasphemers.
Oh Saint Michael the Archangel, Pray for us!

?Saint Peter was a marked man. Our Lord chose him, you may say, that perhaps Peter was just a man minding his own business on the day that Our Lord got into his boat, preached from his boat, and then told him to put out into the deep.
He was just doing his job, trying to make a living and Our Lord, after he worked the miracle of the draft of fish, told Saint Peter he would make him a fisher of men.

Ave Maria!
In this episode Dr Mark Miravalle discusses how to present Mary to others especially to non-Catholics. He centers his discussion on the concept that any artist wants to make a masterpiece into which he pours everything he has. God, who is the master artist par excellence, did this in Mary. Watch this video and see how this concept can first increase our own awe of Mary and then be able to communicate it to others.

Herod was curious to see Jesus and that’s about as far as it went. He had heard the preaching of John the Baptist, he knew that John was right when he told him he couldn’t live with his brothers wife.
He didn’t like what John had to say but he was stung to the heart and attracted in a way, by the words of Saint John the Baptist.

Ave Maria!
“The goal of the Militia of the Immaculate is so difficult to attain that, if one counted only on the energy, the activity and the strength that nature provides, one could justly doubt the possibility of success. Every day experience, in fact, teaches us that the enemies of the Church have natural means which are more abundant and available, according to the words of Christ, they are more clever than the sons of light. Moreover, to obtain someone’s conversion and sanctification, grace is necessary, while corrupt nature is already inclined – by itself – towards sin. Consequently, one can only count on help from above. And in these matters, the easiest and surest help is, by the will of God, the Most Holy Virgin Mary.” (SK #1007)

[Update: The 2008 40-Days-for-Life Vigil starts Sept 24 in approximately 300 cities across America, praying outside of abortion clinics 24 hours a day for 40 days ending Nov 2, just prior to the presidential election. www.40daysforlife.com]
Last nite (25th Sept, 2007), Friar Roderic caught up with Corinn Dahm at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Norwich, CT, after the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass had been offered for the launch of the 40 Days for Life Campaign at the Planned Parenthood Abortion Mill in Case St Norwich.
Over the next 40 days there will be a minimum of 2 people at all times praying in front of the Abortion Mill, not only in Norwich, but in 89 cities around the country, to end abortion in America, and these front-line soldiers will also be supported by thousands of other people who will be offering their prayers, sacrifices, and fastings for the success of this endeavor. This is a history making event that will change our country!
We beg you to support our troops with prayers and fastings and to pass this news onto others that may not have heard about it and help save the lives of maybe thousands of unborn babies.
Check out the 40 Days for Life website at:
40daysforlife.com
Stay tuned to AirMaria.com over the coming weeks as we keep you up to date on the events surrounding this incredible initiative.

Ave Maria!
“Jesus died for each one of us, without considering the difference of nationality, and every one of us, therefore also every one of the Jewish people, is an ingrate, nonetheless son of our common Heavenly Mother. Let’s get to praying, to mortifying ourselves, to giving good example and, if prudence permits, with constructive conversations, but above all with the prudent distribution of the Miraculous Medal, also among the lost sons of Israel; let’s get working on bringing them to the knowledge of the truth and to the attainment of true peace and happiness by means of the unconditional offering of themselves to Our Lady and Queen.” (SK #1113)

Ave Maria!
“May the little medal of the Immaculate be the weapon, or rather the bullet, used by every militant of the Immaculate. One could be the worst of all people, but if he consents to wearing the Miraculous Medal we need to give it to him and we must pray for him and take the opportunity, by means of a good word, to seek to slowly bring him to love, with his whole heart, the Immaculate Mother, to take refuge in Her in all of his difficulties and temptations.” (SK #97)
