Status of HR 1592 from Private Source

Status of HR 1592 from Goverment Source

Text of Bill HR 1592

Congressional Record April 26, Thursday

Original Post: Fr. Elias gives an emergency SOS for all those who care about the most cherished freedoms we have in America, Religious Liberties and Free Speech. The House of Representatives is voting on a bill this week that, if passed, will make it a crime to preach our religious convictions that homosexuality is disordered. This totalitarian measure challenges the very foundations of our republic and could spell the end to freedom of worship all because a very small group cannot tolerate any criticism.

We must pray to God that this bill does not pass and we must take action to protect our rights on this issue. Please take some time to contact your legislature by going to:

Ave Maria!

As with Johnson’s baby shampoo, so it is in heaven: “No more tears.?? There are many misunderstandings about heaven in our postmodern culture. When the postmodern mind isn’t denying the existence of heaven, it’s quick to assert that everyone eventually gets there. “God’s love is unconditional, so it doesn’t matter how I behave,?? they reason. True, God’s love may be unconditional, but getting to heaven is very conditional: as Christ said, “If you love me, keep my commandments.?? Listen now to Fr. Joachim’s homily on the promises and conditions of gaining eternal joy. [Click here for today’s readings.]

FI News #14 – Bro. Francis Mary Kalvelage on Fatima Today >>> Play

Ave Maria!

We are so grateful here at AirMaria.com to Louise Marciano, the producer of the show “Fatima Today”, which is broadcast on several cable networks in the Boston area, for sending us this episode of the show with Bro. Francis Mary Kalvelage as the guest.

We hope you enjoy this episode of “Fatima Today” entitled “Padre Pio – The Wonder Worker”, and as I was previewing this show, it brought back lots of pleasant memories of this wonderful religious brother and our brother in Christ. I am sure that his books will be treasured for ages to come even after he has passed from this life.

On the video, it says that the book “Padre Pio – The Wonder Worker” is available from Ignatius Press – this may be so, but please try marymediatrix.com first! We also apologize for the technical problems during the opening sequence of the show – persevere – it gets better.

Ave Maria!

P.S. – The great number of inquiries about how Bro. Francis is doing is a great testimony of how much he is loved and admired. Thanks to all the good help at Sacred Heart Nursing Home he is doing well. He is still on a feeding tube. He still recognizes people and is able to respond sometimes. But with his paralysis from his stroke he is certainly doing his purgatory on earth. So please keep him in your prayers.

Ave Maria!

??With Mary everything is easy. I place all my confidence in her, despite the snarls of the world and thunders of hell. I say with St. Bernard: “In her I have placed unbounded confidence; she is the whole reason for my hope.?? “. Through Mary I will seek and find Jesus; I will crush the serpent’s head and overcome all my enemies as well as myself for the greater glory of God.?? Such are the thoughts of the great saint whom we celebrate today, St. Louis de Montfort (1673-1716). It was St. Louis who inspired the late Pope John Paul II in his devotion to Our Lady. Listen now to this short sketch of his life given to us by Fr. Elias. [Click here for today’s readings.]

Ave Maria!

Divine Revelation is God revealing Himself to us. God did this primarily through the Person of Christ, & we know of Christ & His ministry primarily through the Gospels. Today the Universal Church celebrates the Feast of the Gosepl writer St. Mark, but here in the United States there’s little to celebrate in regards to what’s being taught in our Catholic universities & preached by most of our Catholic politicians. In this video, Fr. Elias speaks on the work of St. Mark & the revelation of God, & he also notes some of the moral & theological nonsense embraced by those in high places who call themselves Catholic…& he’s not afraid to name names. When the priest says to us at the altar, “The Body of Christ,?? do we really know what (Who) we’re receiving? In this episode, guest Raymond deSouza gives a powerful catechism on the Eucharist in the hopes of reevanglizing baptized Catholics. During His earthly ministry, Christ performed many miracles, then asked for one act of faith: “Believe in the Eucharist because I ask you to.?? Unlike a lot of priests & even bishops today, Christ was not afraid of losing the entire congregation when He taught on the Eucharist. Raymond also gives a fascinating explanation & answer to a question posed by host John Primeau: “Why is the body of the dead incensed during a funeral mass??? Hint: it’s also tied into the reality of the Eucharist.

While most Protestant converts find Catholic devotion to Our Lady an extremely difficult obstacle to becoming Catholic, for Neil it was just the opposite: Her irresistible tenderness drew him into the fullness of Christ’s Church. Neil spent his first Easter with the Franciscans of the Immaculate and shared his story with AirMaria.com in two episodes. Watch Neil in this first episode as he shares how the Immaculate brought him home; and be sure to tune in to EWTN, Marcus Grodi’s The Journey Home on May 21st at 8pm where Neil will share more of his story.
