See their Bad Fruits, Know the False Prophets – Jun 26 – Homily – Fr Matthias

 

In the homily for Wednesday of the Twelfth Week of Ordinary Time (Jun 26, 2019), Fr. Matthias expounds on Our Lord’s warning in today’s Gospel: “Beware of false prophets, … by their fruits you will know them.” Referencing various Scripture passages, Father points out the “bad fruits” and “works of the flesh” which are all too evident in much of the Church today.

When we see these fruits, we know that those who produce and promote them are the false prophets of whom Our Lord warns. Father offers practical comments on how we must respectfully but prudently regard and respond to false prophets.
