Fr Ignatius gives the homily at Bloomington, IN on Apr 27 on how Our Lord first appears to those who loved Him most and had the most faith. As such he appears to Mary Magdalene before the apostles, but at least according to one tradition He appeared to Mary His Mother first. Father relates this to the need to have devotion to Mary and honor her as Christ did.
