Assumption Lesson: Imitate Mary – Aug 15 – Homily – Fr Maximilian

 

On the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Aug 15), Fr. Maximilian explains that if we follow Mary's example and imitate her virtues, we have reason to hope to join her in the next life, who was first to join Jesus in the Resurrection.

Immaculately conceived, and assumed body and soul into heavenly glory, Mary always lived in intimate union with the will of God. Beginning in this earthly life by imitating her, we can achieve eternal glory with her in the next.
