Mar 31 – St. Maximilian – Not My Will But Thine Be Done

By March 31, 2008April 30th, 2008Fr. Ignatius Manfredonia, St. Maximilian Daily

Ave Maria!March’s Theme: Suffering

“In all things let us never forget to say with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, ‘not my will, but thine be done’. (Lk. 22:42) And if, as happened in the Garden of Gethsemane, God holds it as opportune not to answer our request and sends us a chalice to drink down to the last drop, let us not forget that Jesus not only suffered, but also gloriously arose, and that we tend toward the resurrection also through suffering.” (SK #1264)
