Today we celebrate the feast of the apostle who is also the first evangelist not withstanding all the very sophisticated and in some ways brilliant reconstructs the traditional version of the order of the writing of the Gospels.
Facts that have been uncovered recently, and there are many, but particularly the connection with the so-called Qumron documents amply demonstrate that Saint Matthew's Gospel is the first written version of the good news of the salvation and very probably less then ten years after the death and resurrection of Our Lord.
