The Cornerstone #14 – The Eastern tradition focuses on man’s elevation in Christ >>> Play

Ave Maria!

At the Monastery of Bethlehem, of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and of St. Bruno in Livingston Manor, NY one sees the Byzantine and Eastern traditions reflected in the architecture of their Monastery Chapel and the hermitage chapels. Apart from any consideration of sin, the structure of God’s plan is union with the Most Holy Trinity through the mediation of Jesus and Mary. Thus the Incarnation elevates man to be a partaker of the divine nature–what the Greek Fathers call “theosis”, divinization, or deification. If man had not sinned, there would still be the mediation of Jesus and Mary; there would still be adoption as children in Christ Jesus and divinization; but there would have been no need for the Cross, for Redemption. Sin or no sin, the Divine Architect has the same design–”Come to Me through Jesus Christ and His Immaculate Mother!”

This video series is based on the book A Primer on the Absolute Primacy of Christ by the host Fr. Maximilian M. Dean, FI?Ave Maria!

Ave Maria!

This week Fr. Elias takes-on Christopher Hitchins, the one who tried unsuccessfully to ruin the reputation of Mother Theresa of Calcutta and who is now trying to ruin God’s. Good luck! Elias points out that “The fool has said in his heart there is no God?? Psalm 14; for to say there is no God goes against reason because the existence of God is not a theological but a rational and philosophical truth as Vatican I Council states. Watch this video as Fr. Elias explains the try nature of blasphemy and how it does not lead to “freedom from the tyranny of theism?? but rather to enslavement to a darkened intellect and heart.

Homilies #101 – Sunday Homily ( >>> Play

Ave Maria!

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of John the Baptist, the only saint ” outside of Our Lord and Our Lady ” whose birthday the Church celebrates as a feast, and he could be the only one whose sainthood itself resulted from a feast. Other saint’s feast days are held on the memorials of their death. All history centers around the life of Christ, and it was John who, when men would come to him in the wilderness for baptism, would lessen himself and point them to the God-man: “Behold, the Lamb of God. He must increase, and I must decrease. In hearing His voice, my joy is complete.?? John was even sanctified in his mother’s womb at the sound of another voice ” that of Our Lady ” and therefore enjoyed the privilege of being born without original sin. (Note: He is not another immaculate conception because his sanctification occurred after his conception.)

Come now and listen to this insightful and challenging homily by Fr. Angelo on St. John and our call to be saints as well

The Cornerstone #13 – Is there a conflict between predestination and man’s freedom? >>> Play

Ave Maria!

Continuing his reflections on Romans 8:29, Fr. Maximilian Mary briefly tackles the topic of predestination and man’s freedom. If one is predestined by God for Heaven, is he “scott free”? Does God predestine souls to Hell? How can man be free if God already knows that they will be in Heaven or Hell?

Coredemptrix, Mediatrix, Advocate #1 – Dr Mark Miravalle hosts our new series on Airmaria.com which explains Mary’s roles as Coredemptrix, Mediatrix, & Advocate. >>> Play

Ave Maria!

We are so blessed to have Dr Mark Miravalle, Professor of Theology and Mariology at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, host this new inspirational series on AirMaria entitled Coredemptrix, Mediatrix, & Advocate, which will present and explain these roles of Mary to help prepare the way for a possible definition of the 5th Marian Dogma.

In this first episode Dr. Mark clearly explains Our Blessed Lady’s role as Coredemptrix by first underscoring what Coredemptrix does not mean i.e. that she is not God, that she is not equal with Jesus, and that she is not the Fourth person of the Blessed Trinity.

We hope you will enjoy watching this series as much as we did filming it. We also hope that this series will help to dispel all the many misconceptions and misunderstandings of Our Blessed Lady’s role in the salvation of the human race and inspire you to greater love of Mary and her Son, Jesus.

FI News #20 – June 10, 2007, Procession in New Bedford, MA (17min) >>> Play

Ave Maria!

Once a year, the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate take the Good News to the streets, literally as it were, as they process Our Blessed Lord through New Bedford, Massachusetts, on the Feast of Corpus Christi. The procession begins downtown at Our Lady’s Chapel and winds through the city to 3 different churches before finishing again at the friar’s chapel. This year we had wonderful weather and a wonderful turnout of approximately 275 faithful souls.

This video condenses the 3+ hour procession down to 17 minutes and features beautiful music of the Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration (Mother Angelica’s nuns), the Northern RI Sancte Ceciliae (a homeschool family from Rhode Island), and songs of benediction from the various churches we and Our Lord visited on our journey.
