The homily encourages embracing this personal cross, aspiring to say with St. Paul, "With Christ I am nailed to the cross. It is now no longer I that live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live is in the flesh. I live in the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself up for me."
