Fr Jacinto Chapin Chapin gives the homily, on how the Feast of the Transfiguration reminds us of Christ's divine glory, which strengthens our faith to follow Him to Calvary, and how we can experience these 'Tabor moments' in Eucharistic adoration to be gradually transfigured and share in His eternal glory.

The homily celebrates the Feast of the Transfiguration, an event where Christ revealed His divine glory to Peter, James, and John. This experience profoundly strengthened St. Peter's faith, enabling him to preach the Gospel and ultimately die for Christ. We are also called to ascend our own "Mount Tabor" with Jesus, finding moments of quiet prayer and communion, especially in Eucharistic adoration. These "Tabor moments" allow us to glimpse Christ's humble yet glorious presence in the Blessed Sacrament, strengthening our faith and gradually transforming us. This spiritual strengthening prepares us to follow Jesus through life's challenges, symbolized by Mount Calvary, and ultimately to share in His eternal glory in heaven, where we can forever say, "Lord, it is good for us to be here."
