Fr. Joseph Michael McShane gives the homily on how, through baptism and confirmation, we are called to a radical transformation to put on the mind of Christ, surrendering, purifying, and illuminating ourselves to achieve union with Him and to glorify God in every aspect of our lives.

The homily reminds us that through our baptism, we are given the "mind of Christ," meaning we should no longer think like the world but see everything through Christ's eyes. This calls for a complete change in our daily lives, where even simple tasks are done for God's glory. This transformation involves three steps: first, surrendering to Christ and being obedient to His will, trusting in the Holy Spirit's guidance; second, purifying our hearts and minds from worldly influences that contradict Christ's teachings; and third, illuminating ourselves through prayer, sacraments, and meditation to truly embrace Christ's wisdom. The ultimate goal is a perfect union with Christ, becoming like Him in the world, and we are encouraged to seek Mary's help in this journey of saying "yes" to God.
