Fr. Elias Mills celebrates a votive Mass of the Precious Blood, emphasizing that the Eucharist is both a sacrament of Christ's Real Presence and a sacrifice. The two-fold consecration of body and blood sacramentally represents Christ's death on Calvary, where His blood was separated from His body. St. Alphonsus Liguori noted that while one drop of Christ's blood could satisfy God's justice for atonement, Christ poured out *all* His blood, even blood and water from His pierced heart (a torrent, not a trickle), to demonstrate His boundless love for humanity. This outpouring of blood and water symbolizes the sacraments, primarily the Eucharist, but also Baptism, Confession, Confirmation, Holy Orders, and Matrimony, which act as channels of grace, washing us clean and configuring us to Christ's sacrificial love. The homily highlights that husbands are called to love their wives as Christ loved the Church, laying down His life.
