Fr Alan B. Maria Wharton gives the homily for Seventh Sunday of Easter (May 17, 2026--The Ascension of the Lord was observed on Thursday in the dioceses of New England), offering an encouraging reminder that the true Christian life requires embracing public witness and sharing in the sufferings of Christ, especially in a world that often ignores God.

Drawing on the original novena leading up to Pentecost, Father calls on the faithful to rely on the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the daily courage and strength needed to live out the basics of the faith.
