Making Space for God’s Good Gifts Daily – Apr 16 – Homily – Fr Josemaria

Fr. Josemaria begins with "Praise be Jesus and Mary," focusing on today's Gospel about accepting the testimony of the Son of God. He teaches that much of the spiritual life involves receptivity: receiving God's revelation, salvific gifts, and divine life itself. Drawing from St. Augustine, he notes the problem—our hands are too full to receive due to sin, disordered attachments, worries, anxieties, or lack of trust in the Lord. God constantly offers good things and permits trials or spiritual desolation only to foster growth, always providing the necessary graces daily to overcome them. Thus, we must trust, receive the gifts He gives today, and accept what He permits, confident in the graces for His will.
