Fr Andre suggests in the homily for Saturday of the First Week in Ordinary Time (Jan 13, 2024) that the refusal of some conservative Catholics in America to accept the teachings of Pope Francis is not unlike the refusal of the Pharisees in Christ's time to accept him and his Gospel. Father sees in the exaggerated defense of "traditional Catholicism" a veiled denial of Our Lady, belying a lack of trust that Pope Francis is guided by her. Ideas that are sure to generate some defensive reactions, but also, with hope, some soul-searching and a balanced response.
