Fr Matthias gives the homily at Bloomington, IN on May 04, 2023, on how devotion to Mary is a good sign that we are responding to the grace of God to enter salvation and eternal life in heaven, a sign of predestination. He gives the example of the children of Fatima.

Our Lord knows those whom He has chosen for eternal life by name (John 15:16 - https://bible.usccb.org/bible/john/15?16). The mystery of predestination is difficult to understand, but we know God wants to save everyone. Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary is considered a sign of predestination, indicating a person is moving towards eternal life.

True devotion to Our Lady strengthens our hearts in our desire for God and heaven. At Fatima, the children's hearts burned with a desire for heaven when in the presence of Our Lady. Devotion to Mary is a great consolation, providing assurance that we are on the right path.

During the month of May, let us ask for the grace of true devotion to Our Blessed Lady and rejoice in the fact that it is a strong sign of predestination.
