Jesus is the Good Shepherd in the Gospel of John chapter 10 - https://bible.usccb.org/bible/john/10 and in Psalm 23 - https://bible.usccb.org/bible/psalms/23. Jesus is the Good Shepherd who enters the sheepfold through the door (John 10:2), calls his sheep by name (John 10:3), leads them (John 10:3-4), and is the door to the sheep (John 10:9). He gives life to the sheep (John 10:10) and lays down his life for them (John 10:11, 17). The Good Shepherd knows his sheep, and they know him (John 10:14).

From Psalm 23, we learn that with the Lord as our shepherd, we lack nothing (Psalm 23:1), He leads us to safe places (Psalm 23:2-3), restores our soul (Psalm 23:3), and helps us to fear no evil (Psalm 23:4).

He is always with us (Psalm 23:4), prepares a feast for us (Psalm 23:5), and directs us with goodness and mercy (Psalm 23:6). We can trust that God is our Good Shepherd, guiding and protecting us in our lives.
