Fr. Matthias gives the first of two talks at our Divine Mercy Day of Reflection of 2023, where he touches upon five points, 1 What is trust? 2 What is Mercy? 3 Misconceptions and errors in trying to trust God, 4 A comparison between trust and control, and 5, a comparison between trust and feelings.
He ends with a short miracle story about Maureen Digan, who was struck with a terminal illness with much suffering and stopped believing in God. Then she opened up to God and was cured miraculously, but only one and not her many other medical problems. She kept faith and trust in Him and this is the greatest miracle, the moral miracle, to trust in His mercy.
