Is Hell Empty? – Jan 13 – Homily – Fr Matthias

 

Fr Matthias gives the homily at Bloomington, IN on Jan 13, 2023, on how the First reading Hebrews 4:1-5,11 and how this indicates that the idea that hell is empty is not true since this and other verses speaks very severely that many will not go to heaven and that this fear of the limits of God's mercy we have a very real extra motive to grow in sanctity. He answers the question of whether the idea that hell is empty is an admirable abandonment to God's mercy. He points out that God will not be mocked.
