Fra Gabriel gives that second talk for our Advent Day of Recollection on the Book of Daniel chapter 14, which continues his theme of the coming of Christ and the Eucharist. God empties himself and just wants our hearts for us to love Him. This is compared to false gods which do so little and demand so much all to support a deceitful religion. Jesus himself provides the true sacrifice that is truly pleasing to God and liberates us from sin.
