Fr Terrance gives the homily at Bloomington, IN on Jul 01, 2022, on how the wider realm of sins of the flesh are covered by the 6th Commandment in his series on the 10 Commandments, including, masturbation, fornication, pornography, rape, prostitution, polygamy, and incest.

Offenses against chastity - CCC 2351-2356 -

From our Tour of the Catechism -

All offenses against chastity, sins of the flesh, are gravely immoral, per se.

If the will is compromised, moral culpability is mitigated

Masturbation - CCC 2352 - Subjective culpability difficult cases but should be always confessed

Fornication - CCC 2354 - Carnal relations between those who are not

Pornography - CCC 2352 - Does grave injury to all involved, escaping into a fantasy world, counterfeit love,

Prostitution - CCC 2355 - Always sinful but destitution, blackmail, and other ways that will is compromised, mitigates culpability

Rape - CCC 2356 - Deeply injures victims and this needs to be dealt with delicately and over time.

Other offenses against the dignity of marriage - CCC 2387-2391

Polygamy - CCC 2387 - Allowed in the Old but clearly not in the New Testament, contrary to the equal dignity of male and female where each gives themselves to each other in their totality. Old Testament was partial and incomplete. Converts must give up all but one wife, yet must sustain the financial and parental duties contracted in former marriages.

Incest - CCC 2388 - Relations with those that are too closely related to be married, especially bad with children.
