The life of St. Frances of Rome, Widow, Third Order (1384 -1440) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Mar 9. Frances was married with children and helped the poor. She entered the third order. During misfortune due to war and pestilence, she organized help for the poor. Miracles of healing and mystical experiences were attributed to her. She became an Oblate of St. Benedict as well and started a new branch of that

Reflection is on valuing eternal treasures through generosity and avoiding the worthless luxuries of earth.
