The life of S. of God Sylvester of Assisi, Confessor, First Order (1175-1240) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Mar 4. Sylvester was born in Assisi, Italy and was an early follower of St. Francis, but not before repenting of a very regrettable avaricious life as a diocesan priest, after seeing the good example of St. Francis.
