The Life of S. of God Robert, King of Naples, Confessor, Third Order (d. 1343) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Jan 17. Robert was a very pious King of Naples who, with his pious wife, built Franciscan convents and supported the poor. He entered the third order and strived to fully enter religious life, but duties of state prevented this.
