The Life of S. of God Melchora Saravia Tasayco, Virgin, Third Order (1895-1951) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Dec 31. Melchora was born in Peru in a poor but devout family and became a lay apostle, foreseeing Vatican II. She came down with cancer, the sufferings of which she offered up in union with Christ's.
