The Life of Bl. Bonaventure of Potenza, Confessor, First Order (d. 1711) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Oct 26. Bl. Bonaventure was a preacher with simple words that drew many conversions. He avoided positions of power until commanded to be novice master. He served plague victims and had the gifts of miracles and prophecies.

Reflection is on spiritual pride and how Bonaventure and all saints are sanctified through humility. We must not presume we are not anything before God. Pride can sneak in without us knowing it we must be vigilant. We must not trust in our own abilities but trust in God.
