The Life of Bl. Nicholas of Forca Palena, Confessor, Third Order (1349-1449) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Oct 2. Bl. Nicholas was born in Italy and became a Third Order hermit and later was put in charge of some convents under by command of Pope Eugene IV.
Reflection is on our goal in life which is eternal life, thus we should not put too much importance on obtaining much in this world.
