The Life of S. of God Mary Magdalen Bentivoglio, Virgin, Second Order (1838-1918) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Oct 3. S. of God Mary Magdalen Bentivoglio was born in Italy and was a devout but precocious child. When she entered religious life she had difficulties, but resolutely continued, growing in devotion. She and a group of her sisters went to America and after many tribulations finally settling in Omaha, Nebraska and died in Evansville, Indiana
