The Life of St. Joseph of Copertino (Cupertino), Confessor, First Order (d. 1664) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Sep 18. St. Joseph was raised in a poor, humble family. He entered the Conventual Conventuals where he became famous for his frequent ecstasies, levitations, and also his insightful reflections on God despite his lack of natural intellectual abilities. He is the patron of pilots.

Reflection is on the wound in the side of Christ where Christ's Sacred Heart was pierced by a lance for love of us.
