The Life of Bl. Gentle of Matelica, Martyr, First Order (m. 1340) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Sep 7. Bl. Gentle was born Matelica, became a Franciscan hermit and then felt called to preach in the missions for which he was given many extraordinary graces, including miracles and prophecy until he met his martyrdom.
