"The Life of Bl. Louise of Savoy, Widow, Second Order (1461-1503) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Jul 24. Bl. Louise of Savoy was a modest noblewoman who married a devout nobleman, and when he died she took care of the poor and entered the Poor Clares setting a good example as a common sister. After her death, many miracles were performed at her intercession.

Reflection is on fulfilling the duty of one's state of life and avoiding the dangers therein, the higher one's position the more responsibility before God, He will give us the strength to fulfill them if we cooperate with grace with a life of prayer and receiving the sacraments worthily.
