Christ: A look in God’s Mirror – Jul 17 – Homily – Fr Terrance

 

Fr Terrance gives the homily at Bloomington, IN on Jul 17, 2021, on how the Gospel of Matthew paints a portrait of Christ that gives us a mirror that shows us how God wants us to be. What Christ is by nature we must become by the grace of the Holy Spirit. This teaches how we need to contend with others, avoiding senseless arguments, winning hearts more than minds. This goes as far as being willing to die as a martyr as Jesus did. We must be prudent and not snuff a smoldering wick of those with little faith, being willing to stoop to their level as Christ-like servants.
