God can do anything that he wills that is not an outright contradiction. He describes the difference between God's absolute power vs. His ordered power, whether it is part of His overall, perfect plan and He explains the problem of evil and imperfections in this world, that this actually affirms God and His omnipotence. This applies to our own spiritual life by relying on God, being his adopted children, and growing close to Him where our own weaknesses manifest God's power for our benefit.
