God is Still Center of Gravity: Keep Coronavirus in Perspective – Mar 17 – Homily – Fr Matthias

Before focusing on the readings from the liturgy for Wednesday of the Third Week of Lent (Mar 18, 2020), Father Matthias offers a reflection that aims to put the coronavirus pandemic experience in perspective.

Father underscores the danger of presumption of salvation for all, and the gratitude we should have the gift of the true Faith. Drawing on the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Father exposes the doctrine of salvation primarily through the Church established by Jesus Christ, through her teachings, the Sacraments instituted by Him for our benefit, and the intercession of the Immaculate. It is dangerous to take this gift lightly or consider it optional.
