Fr Terrance gives the homily at Bloomington, IN on Jan 31, 2020, on how we need to have a battle plan established to win victories over temptations when they come to avoid being conquered like king David was conquered. Father lays out four-point to this battle plan:
- Recognize - Keep vigilant to recognize temptations quickly
- Our Lady - ask for her intercession to be strong in resisting
- Shift focus - have a task ready at hand to take the mind off the temptation to not focus on it.
- Sacraments - frequent the sacraments especially confession
He stresses that being tempted is not a sin, but to not resist them is and a plan is essential.
