Forward in Faith to Final Judgment – Nov 04 – Homily – Fr Josemaria

Views 736

On the memorial of the great reformer of the clergy, St. Charles Borromeo (Bishop, Nov 4, 2019), Fr. Josemaria explains the intimate relation between salvation and mental prayer. Citing Pope Benedict XVI’s encyclical Spe Salvi (“Saved in Hope”), Father reminds us that only in the light of eternity does our present life find its true perspective. To cultivate a life here and now that is compatible with eternal salvation, we must keep in mind the truth we proclaim: “he will come to judge the living and the dead.”
