On the Memorial of St. Martha, disciple and friend of Jesus (Jul 29, 2019) Fr. Alan notes that although her faith was great and obtained miracles from Jesus (raising her dead brother), she was also capable of human frailty. Had she been more focused on Jesus and his will, she wouldn't have been so anxious, wouldn't have misjudged priorities. However, because of her sincerity and goodness, and confidence in the Lord, and because of Jesus’ own loving goodness, even her error became a blessed teaching moment of benefit for all Christ’s disciples.
