Find God in Solitude, Nurture His Presence in Your Soul – Jun 19 – Homily – Fr Matthias

 

On the memorial of St. Romuald (Abbot, Jun 19, 2019), Fr. Matthias gives the homily on the hidden life that St. Romuald led, a life that went unnoticed by the world but not unnoticed by God. His example reminds us of the need we all have of the solitude and silence of hidden, interior life, in order to pursue the Divine Presence in our soul.

Such hidden interior life leads us to discover and learn to nurture God's presence within us—or we may discern an absence of God within us, indicating that we must repent of sin and be reconciled through the sacrament of confession to recover His presence in our soul.
