Fr Mahan gives his farewell homily at St John's Bloomington on Jun 16, 2019 using the four words "Please, Thank You, Sorry, Wow!" which he says are key to any good human conversation. He relates them to the four words which are key to any prayer with God: Adoration, Contrition, Thanks-giving, Supplication (acronym ACTS).
Fr. Mahan was our local pastor here for six years near our friary here in Bloomington, Indiana. He has been reassigned to St. Barnabas parish in Indianapolis. We will miss his presence and he will be in our hearts and prayers. Thank you Fr. Mahan!
