The Rich Young Man Who Did NOT Go Away Sad – Mar 04 – Homily – Fr Alan

 

Relating today's gospel episode to the life of the youthful Saint Casimir of Poland (Mar 04), Fr. Alan elaborates on the need to know oneself as a creature of God whose purpose it is to know, love, and serve Him. The rich young man went away sad because he was unable or unwilling to relinquish his possessions. We must be willing to renounce the things of this world in order to be free to follow Jesus Christ and to possess eternal life in Him.
