In the homily for the memorial of Sts. Peter Baptist, Paul Miki, and companions (martyrs, Feb 06) Father points to these martyrs of Japan as an example of how we are called to respond with perseverance in faith in times of persecution, such as we are beginning to face even in our day. God wills our salvation and will give us the faith we need if we humbly ask Him for it.
