Mary Queen of the Franciscans – Dec 15 – Homily – Fr Terrance

 

Fr Terrance gives the homily at Bloomington, IN on Dec 15 which we FIs celebrate as Queen of the Franciscan Order. Father explains the history of this title and how devotion to Mary is so essential to being a Franciscan, especially in regard to humility that is so necessary to be friars minor as St Francis wanted us to be. He then explains the Franciscan role in spreading devotion to Mary and teaching about her, even advocating for dogmatic proclamations.
