On the memorial of St. Ignatius of Antioch, Bishop & Martyr (Oct 17), Fr. Matthias explains in the homily why the Apostolic Tradition is important to us today. Saint Ignatius was one of the Apostolic Fathers: he received the faith from the Apostles, contributing to that uninterrupted transmission which makes this same faith still accessible to us today.
