Oct 15 – Homily – Fr Angelo: Open to the Spirit, Clinging to Christ

Views 1391

Jesus came in the flesh, but the Holy Spirit comes invisibly and is the interior witness to the truth. This is what the "blasphemy of the Holy Spirit" is: to refuse the light God gives us and to sin truth itself. Instead, we need to open ourselves to this interior witness and interiorize the teaching of Christ and His Church found in Bible, the sacraments and liturgy, the Magisterium of the Church, but above all in the life of Christ. The Rosary is a most useful means for arriving at deep, prayerful familiarity with Jesus. Let us follow the example and teaching of St. Teresa of Jesus and be open to the Spirit and cling to Jesus.
