Fr. Ignatius on the holiness of people, that it all comes from God for their is no natural holiness in us. For a soul to be holy it must have the presence of God within it. In other words, it must be in a state of Grace. Father outlines how we must foster this presence by emptying ourselves and points to the example of Bl. Mary Magdalene of Martinengo who stresses the holiness of God and the need of humility in His presence.
